To all Parents out there who face the challenge of choosing a good Driving School for their Teenager, I would highly recommend Mt. Dandy Driving School.  I contacted one of the Instructors about lessons for my daughter as I was not comfortable with taking her out on the roads myself, she is not one to take my advise at the best of times, so one phone call to Mt Dandy, we set up a time to come around for a talk and lesson.  We sat down I explained what I expected to come out of the lessons and I was informed how the lessons work and what is expected from students, then off they went for the first drive.  At the end of the first lesson the feedback from my daughter was great, she felt comfortable, it was explained clearly how they would approach the first lesson, where they would be travelling and made sure that she understood the features and workings of the car before they left the driveway. My daughter was instructed well in advance what was to happen when they approached an intersection  or lights. She told me that her nerves settled very quickly because of the instructors calm nature making the drive comfortable, the instructor spoke clearly and direct, when there was a chance for a laugh they would have one, when there was a need to direct or point out something they used the "power of the pen" as my daughter would say (the instructor would signal with their pen in what direction she had to go or if she needed to pay attention to something around her) she thought this was fun. At the end of the lesson they would sit in the driveway and discuss how the drive went, once my daughter left the car the instuctor and I would discuss the drive and any improvements that needed to be made.  At no point in time did my daughter have any concerns about her lessons, she was always eager to drive when her lesson was due, I found it more value when she had double lessons because it gave her more time on the roads, we made a point of mixing weather conditions and made sure she had a few wet days and night drives.  A month after lessons I took her out in my car and I was amazed at how well she drove, she was telling me off.  One thing I was advised about was that I was to not yell and tell her off, but rather to talk to her and explain.  In closing I can not thank Mt Dandy staff enough for their patience with my daughter, she passed her driving test with high marks, did not loose any points on the day and I must say she is a good driver, she applies what she was taught while driving.  I now have a son who will be going for his driving lessons soon and I also will be booking him through Mt Dandy because he will be a challenge and the fact that he has a Ford SR6  I think he needs someone who will tell him straight what to do and what not to do...all I can say is good luck with my son and Thank you........Anna Di P.

I am writing this letter to formally thank Mt Dandy for Their work over the past month or so. I was hospitalised for a long time and unable to drive a car for about 18 months.

It meant that I had to prove to VicRoads that I could drive again. I needed a refresher course but I needed a special person to take me out again. Because of my illness I needed someone who could impart to me the three “C’s – Confidence, co-ordination (mine needed a lot of work – I knew that) and communication skills.

My Instructor took me out and structured the learning around my strengths and weaknesses. The refresher course focused on bringing my weaknesses up to normal. It was tailored to my requirements and developed as I went forward. We both worked very hard in fitting the learning to my needs.

Mt Instructor showed confidence in me by structuring the learning around my needs. That was important to me. During the short term I was with Mt Dandy I found my instructor to be patient, prompt, knowledgeable and importantly flexible.

I’m happy to recommend Mt Dandy Driving School to anyone who wants a friendly, flexible and knowledgeable approach to driving.

Yours Faithfully,
Andrew Ritcher

This is a note to express my gratitude for the wonderful day my wife and I had at the "In the Drivers Seat 2008" in March.

Thank you to all and hope you understand our gratitude. It was our first time attending and we look forward to the next one.

Special thanks to Karen Salomone for the drive.

Yours sincerely,
Bob and Julie Wylie

Alright folks, Once I got my learners permit I started driving with a driving instructor for the first 9 driving days of my life. Nerve-raking... Yes. Embarrassing.... Extremely.

Fun.... Absolutely.

How so? How can it be Nerve-raking, Embarrassing and Fun all at once?

Because of my instructor. My instructor was the funniest person I have ever ever met. Hence why I am trying to help gain more customers for this awesome business.

So do you need a driving instructor for:
- Beginning to Drive
- Manual Driving
- Automatic Driving
- Advanced Courses
- Seniors Refreshing
- Towing

Then give Mt. Dandy Driving School a go and have an awesome time with the best instructors I have ever met. Seriously, you'll love it.

Yours sincerely,
Kelli T.
